Hybrid
THC Level:
High
Flowering Time:
6-8 weeks
Yield:
1/4 to 1/2 lb. per plant, hydroponics

Dutch Treat is a dark green strain, with lots of branches and very large tops. The buds are solid and very sticky. It has a sweet citrus smell and tastes strongly of eucalyptus along with grassy-tasting citrus. The smoke tends to be fairly thick and tickles the throat, causing a decent amount of coughing, but without any kind of burning or real harshness.

Characterized by a swirling head high that comes on quickly, it gives users a feeling of abundant energy and a need to keep busy without jittery or anxious feelings. Towards the end, the Indica traits will show as the experience becomes a bit cloudy-feeling and tired.

Smoked a dime blunt of this stuff between 4 people. Probably my favorite bud, and that’s no easy feat. EVERYTHING IS AWESOME! I had so much fun sitting on the couch with a beer, bumpin’ some tunes and hangin’ with my bros. If you have a chance, get this. My life was a movie for over an hour. Anxiety disappeared. Seriously though, get some. I mean it.

Nice blend here with a leaning to the sativa side of life. An uplifting, happy euphoric. Perfect for taking the edge off.
    This is strong.
I take tiny amounts for just the right effect.
    This tastes good too.

If you are an insomnia sufferer, SSS’s Lavender is the strain you are looking for. The nugs are well-cured, on the dense side, with a light purple hue all over. It has a nice citrus scent with flowery overtones, lending it a sweet lavender scent.

But you aren’t reading this for what the cannabis looked like, are you?

The heads over at SSS should rename this strain “Lavender Lullaby”. I’d been unable to sleep for days when I came into the Shop and picked it up. After a few tokes from Batman, my trusty bong, I felt the silvery arms of Lavender float me away on a fresh breeze. The aches in my skull faded, and the tension in my shoulders ceased. I wasn’t sleepy, but extremely relaxed, like my soul had just had a bubble bath. When it was time for bed, I closed my eyes as I hit the pillow and floated off to dreamland, where I swear to god, I dreamt I was flying on a dragon.

I’m not promising you that if you smoke Sunset Super Shop’s Lavender you’ll be able to dream about flying dragons through clouds made of indigo diamonds, glittering in the cosmic rays, plunging through waterfalls in a far-off-landscape…but I’m not saying it won’t happen, either.

I’m trying some Allstar Dutch Treat, and it offers a very good high. I feel relaxed and lazy, but still able to function. The taste is superb, even with a glass of water.

Dutch Treat #5 that is floating around the West Coast started it’s path from B.C. seed breeder Jordan of the Islands. A Master grower in Bellingham WA. brought the seeds over to the US and grew all 10 of them. Word has it that these were some “special” behind the counter seeds that were offered to make up for a previous bad purchase several months before that wasted the growers time. Out of the 10 seeds that were labeled, the #5 plant was cloned (why you see it labeled DT #5) and sent out to the local growers in Bellingham that passed it around to “close” friends. Today it is all over the West Coast including Maui and seems to be growing in popularity due to its heavy yields, easy trimming and rapid growth. Because it is a relatively new strain (4 Years), clubs that have acquired this strain for sale can’t seem to keep it in stock as customers often go on a waiting list to get it.

There is some confusion as to it’s name since there are other older versions of “Dutch Treat” that don’t look anything like the #5, nor compare in quality. For this reason, some people have called it Dutch Crunch instead.

As to it’s crosses, you would have to contact Jordan of the Islands to really get the detailed truth. Seed companies that sell the seeds still classify it as a “short and stalky” plant, but as any experienced grower would tell you, this plant is WAY OUT OF CONTROL, viney, lanky, extremely fast growing and sometimes falls over even before it starts budding. Anyone trying to grow this plant, be ready to tie her down hard and use supports. Many classify Dutch Treat as a heavy Indica punch you in the face High, yet the leaves on the plant are very much Sativa, very skinny, and harvesting goes to at least 8-9 weeks, sometimes more.

I would have to say, the Dutch is the best bud I’ve ever gotten in my area. At this point, its a famous strain in my area. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been seen for almost a year.

Smoked one bowl today after work and my fingers, toes, and face are all tingly. I also seem to be hearing birdsong as a melody and enjoying the resulting music. Definitely forgetting what time it is or how slow I’m going. This is an excellent treat! This hits you strong and one bowl is all you need. I have no fear about my days work and am delighted with whatever I’m doing.

Picked this up from a local connect that works and grows for a dispensary and this is definitely some intense stuff. Started out with a big bong bowl in a dark setting which allowed the feeling of a higher body high and then moved to a pipe bowl which still intensified the already amazing high.

There is a definite euphoric feeling with this and a sense of Déjà vu. When sitting you will feel tingly and as if some parts of your body are numb. When standing you could feel dizziness and could loose balance. Sitting in a chill setting would be perfect just being able to kick back and relax. I prefer to have a dimly lit room (preferably colored lights) with good music playing in the background.

This strain is good for both night time and day time smoking. This particular smoke was after a very long day at work and wanted to just come home smoke, had a bowl of stew and then slept like a king.

Hope you enjoy this as much as I did. :D

Looks great. Smells & tastes good, too. I felt a pretty good pick-up for being a Sativa. Good for projects, but start soon after smoking or you might end up just day dreaming.
